Looking forward to upgrade my PC this summer. I want a good GPU for Microsoft Flight Simulator X + demanding addons such as PMDG 737NG and 777. Because my budget is lower than $300, I believe that a GTX 960 should be fine, but I also found many used GTX 690's for $250. What do you think? Should I risk a used GTX 690 or just buy a 960?

current specs:
i5 4460
8GB 1600hz
R7 240 1GB GDDR3
H81M MOBO

Solution

Get the new GTX 960 as it only require 430W PSU. The GTX 960 even out performs the R9 280. Stay away from seconds market. Also the GTX 690 is power hungry, needs 620W PSU.
