I've gotten multiple systems out of a dumpster or out for the trash.

Company was closing a particular office, right around xmas.
I went to toss out all the wrapping paper. Opened the sliding door on the dumpster, "Oh look, a laptop"
3 laptops, 2 desktops, a mail server, and a laser printer later....
