I am a bit worried about the future of socket 939. The new prosessors that AMD will launch in 2006 are AFAIK only for the new socket M2? Socket 939 will be faded out starting next year.

So the question is, will 4800+ be the highest possible 939 cpu? Has anyone any more infomation of this?

This constant change of sockets really bugs me. How much do the mobo-manufacturers pay cpu-manufacturers to do this....?

LOL.. one years ago, people were asking the same thing for socket 754..

Stop worrying. first, your worry won't change anything on manufacturer plans and second, this in the CPU manufacturer who decide which socket to use, motherboard follow..
