*Deep Breath*
So the time has come to upgrade my trusty 2020 system that got me through various lockdowns in some form of sanity.
I am somewhat out of step with the new tech, I was once right on top of it but as you can tell by my dear old system i'm going to need some gentle assistance and i will be sadly waving goodbye to my lovely old 1080 Ti which has to have been The best GPU ever. They sure dont make em like that old gal anymore...
I'm looking to spend probably about £2-3k to futureproof for the next couple of years (hopefully more) of releases and i primarily game and edit hi res photos in lightroom etc.
I have no major affiliation to any brands (ive had nvidia and AMd before, but tbh i cannot make head nor tale of them anymore) TMI.
Mobo is well out now, i dont think i can even upgrade my processor higher because of the different discontinued chipset / pin.
I essentially want best bang for my buck if i need to replace, GPU, Processor, Mobo, probably monitor to a higher refresh rate and upgrade to DDR5 i guess?
i'd like to keep my tower, the cooling, the PSU and if i can my memory but aware that may not be possible.
Over to the nerds! 😀 Many thanks
