I'm having problems with my computer having artifacts. It runs fine during the MSI boot logo. But after that the computer shows artifacts all over the place. I went into my bios and checked the temperatures my motherboard runs around 23c while my CPU runs around 50c at the start then starts to climb to 60c rapidly. Could my CPU heating up cause these artifacts in my computer?

Also i'm kinda new so i don't know if this is the right thread for this question.

Computer Specs:

CPU: FX-6300 non-overclocked
GPU: EVGA GTX 760 2gb non-overclocked
Ram: G.Skill Sniper Series 8gb(4gbx2) 1600mhz
MB: MSI 970-G46
PSU: OCZ ZT series 650w 80+ Bronze
HDD: 1tb western digital caviar blue

Thank you for your time.

To make life a bit more simple, disable turbo and test temps. We need to make sure the turbo voltage is what's even causing the problem before we get into the more complicated things.

OK ill try this. But i really need to let that thing just sit for a little.

You have to get one anyway. Yours isn't holding the 12V voltage well enough.

I got a good laugh out of that. "That thing."

Anyway, I'd like to point out that I wouldn't consider OCZ to be on the top of my list for power supplies. I've never heard good or bad about them, but I rarely hear of people using them. Go for Corsair which is a much better known brand. Invest in a good power supply, it should honestly last longer than most things in your rig, and it should be something that stays in your rig for maybe the next 5 years + as you upgrade other parts.

Not disagreeing with i7 at all, you need a new PSU, but if you can't spare the money for it ASAP, I wouldn't sweat it. I'd do upgrade as soon as you can realistically do it, but it's not something that's super urgent; your computer isn't going to die tomorrow if you don't do it tonight. Many low end power supplies have voltage that's like that, not consistent enough; it's just not good long term. People's computers survive on crappy power supplies no doubt, so it's no rush, but I wouldn't leave it there forever.

There you go RMA it. $10 for shipping and you're set.

But, back on topic. Update us when you try without turbo please.

Well the red lines have gotten worse and when i get into the bios it's all zoomed so i cant see all of the bios settings. Is this a result of over heating? Or is this from my power supply's 12v not being good enough? Also another question, could getting a new power supply make the red lines and some of the artifacts go away?
