FX 8350 750TI Fps drops!

I want to help a friend who currently have this build.

I sold him my 750ti brand new, when i was using it i was having 120-150fps in CSGO (My CPU was an APU 7870k CPU)

Now he's using what I believe a much better CPU (FX 8350) He got some massive FPS drops, for some moments he gets 200, mostly 150 but for some seconds it drops to 40 even 30 FPS!

The only thing i notice is his RAM, its pretty standar, i believe 800mhz ddr3

I read in here that maybe he has a poor cooler, i think he has the stock cooler. Maybe dust?

Check if it is a thermal problem. Check temperatures. If they are high try cleaning the case interiors from dust.
Also his RAM is quite poor. What was your RAM?

Your two processors are similar for gaming where the single thread performance is very important.
Your A10-7870K has a passmark rating of 5562 and a single thread rating of 1529.
By comparison, a FX-8350 has a rating of 8949/1504.
The benefit of a FX-8350 only will show up when you are running an app where all cores can be fully utilized.

I would expect performance to be similar.
If the FX-8350 is not using a top end motherboard, the cpu is likely throttling on occasion due to heat issues.

A pretty standar one, i dont really know which model. I say to my friend to download MSI afterburn to check for heat.

What do you suggest? New MOBA or cooler?
