Same chip, just binned different. Go with the 8320. Its cheaper and still the same chip as the 8350 which is the same chip as 9570. Thing your buying with the 9570 is the fact that you will hit 5.0 ghz. Some chips just cant, all luck of the lottery on 8350 or 8320.

To be completely honest, you won't notice a difference between 4.7 and 5.0ghz. My 8320 does 5.0Ghz @ 1.5ish volts but at 10-15c higher temps than 4.8ghz @ 1.425v and there is no noticeable difference between the speeds but much lower temps and power usage. I would just grab an 8320 and shoot for 4.4-4.6ghz daily.

Edit: If you do go the AMD route, make sure you get a suitable motherboard and a couple of 70/80mm fans to cool your vrm's and the socket.

I would just go for Intel. I know that's not the answer you want, but:

1. You don't need expensive CPU coolers to keep it cool, it just is cooler already
2. You save $15-40 a year on electricity
3. You will get better performance on nearly every task (just not video editing and stuff, where the Intel is only SLIGHTLY behind
4. You will have a socket that is still alive and thriving, instead of the likely dead AM3+ socket (upgradeability)

I would recommend using this instead of the AMD options:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($249.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus H97M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($114.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $364.97
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

The motherboard is the brand new H97 chipset, which will be compatible with Intel's Broadwell chips, so you will be futureproofing.

This build will outperform the 9590 or the 8350 once again, in 99% of everything you will do, and gaming will be much faster.

Hope that helps!

It doesn't help. Stop thread crapping. He asked a specific question about AMD cpu's. He didn't ask for your opinion on going Intel.

I really just want to help. If he is building an AMD system, I just feel like Intel is much better for the money. He can completely ignore my post and I don't care, it's just my advice and recommendation.

Hey bro thanks for your opinion ..... dont upset or angry everyone has a right to give his own opinion to help others...

Seems to be a misunderstanding between junction temps (actual peak temps, which are not visible/reported), reported core temps (what you see in BIOS/software as reported by the chips internal temp monitoring system and algorithm), and power dissipation (wattage dissipated as thermal energy).

FX chips dissipate about twice the power or more for equal work than haswell chips. The actual junction temps, are indeed just as high or higher than Intel parts, but the reported temp is on a totally different scale and has nothing to do with "reality." The AMD temp reporting system is designed for precision, predictability, and repeatability, not accuracy. The temps reported by an FX chip are off by 20-30C or more from actual peak junction temps pretty much all the time. AMD FX chips do not actually run cooler, they simply report lower numbers.

I love my 8350. Its a tank and aptly named "piledriver." No one should have any doubts about this chip. It muscles through games like any intel chip. Sure FPS may be a few frames short of intel. However, $159 for a monster cpu is hard to beat.

Sure, for $180 the 8350 is impressive- but only is it more economically viable than Intel if you pair it with a crappy 970 motherboard and don't overclock it at all.

Most of the AMD enthusiasts handily leave out the fact that they spent $150-300 on the motherboard and $50-100 on their cooler to overclock it so it "...muscles through games like any intel chip..."

A Xeon 1231v3 paired with an H97 motherboard is a more economical, more powerful (in most use cases), and much more upgradeable option.

I agree, the FX-8350 is an excellent choice for a lot of people- particularily editors and people who can manipulate the eight cores. But for gamers and most everyone else, Intel is a much better option.

That's true. I had that exact same thought yesterday.

$100 Corsair H100i liquid cooler
$160 Fx8350
$150 Asus M5A99FX PRO motherboard

Equal to the cost of a mid level I7 or high end I5.

I didn't have 500 bucks for a CPU and bought my PC parts one pay check at a time. I'm
Pleased with the outcome. Next rig I build will be Intel though. Unless AMD releases something amazing in the next two years.

So I don't want to hear about t the th 8350 or the intel chip my temps are 30 to 50 degree C

Hello, I am the happy possessor of a amd fx-8320 cpu and a asrock Extreme MoBo. With watercooling added to the CPU, I was able to overclock the CPU at the maximum of 6.3 Ghz per core (thanks to the MoBo). Remember that the 8 core FX series are the same, as the only difference is that they come from stock with a default clock, the only difference is that the 9590 comes with watercooling and the 8320 or 8350 doesn't. Also please disregard the Intel people, as they don't want to comprehend the fact that amd is the best :D. Its like, what do you prefer... a Lamborghini (Intel), or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX that has 1000HP (AMD) ??

Curious to see some FPS Comparisons for the two different gaming pc rigs you and your mate have, since his is the 4770k and urs is the FX 8350, both you guys keep the same clock, lets say 4.0ghz, or less if u want, with the same GPU, and play some games that matter, shadows of mordor, metro 2033, etc, and lets see some benchmarks

I dont think you paid attention to what everyone was talking about.the issue is price for performance not clck vs clock. The idea is you could buy an 8350 or 8320 and over clock it to be better than the stock intell for less total money. Since a 8350 is about 40-80 bucks cheaper depending on sales you can easily buy a good air cooler or on sale water cooler to get a decent overclock.. and this is assuming you get a quality mobo no mater what... ive never bought a mobo cheaper than 100 if i wanted to oc. And fyi i am using an intel i5-2500k oced to 4.6 air cooled and with a quiet profile. So im not on the amd bandwagon. Just wanted to point out that the assumption of price to performance is indeed in amds favor... while all out performance no matter the cost is in intels.
