FX vs i5 for renderfarm ?

I'm planing to build a renderfarm here, so I've decided to go with the FX8320 after much reading, but still I want to ask once before going all in,

I know there is many similar threads, but not for the renderfarm scenario, and this ain't inteded for gaming. The softwares will be after effect and cinema 4D mostly. And some heavy md5 bruteforce who knows *joke*

my question is between FX 8320 and i5 4460 or same price range (this is the max though).

I'm thinking O/Cing the 8320 and think I've read that the i5 4460 can't be ....

It's a good choice FX 8320 , the extra cores will benefit you.

I agree more cores is better here than Intel's single core performance. Go for AMD here.
