Ok, so, I built my pc back in fall of last year(october), and the final setup I came up with was
1 x COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest ...
1 x CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance ...
1 x OCZ Vertex 4 VTX4-25SAT3-128G 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
1 x MSI N660Ti PE 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
1 x COOLER MASTER RC-692A-KKN5 Black Steel body / Plastic + Mesh bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
1 x SAMSUNG DVD Burner SATA Model SH-224BB/RSBS
1 x AMD FX-4170 Zambezi 4.2GHz (4.3GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Quad-Core Desktop Processor FD4170FRGUBOX
8 x COOLER MASTER R4-BMBS-20PK-R0 Blade Master 120mm Case Fan(not using all of them, ended up overordering, think I have 4-5 in the case)
1 x Team Xtreem Dark Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model TXD38192M1600HC9DC-D
1 x ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Windows 7
Now, I built it myself, etc, and haven't messed with the clocking at all, but when I checked the system specs on my control panel, I noticed my cpu is running a steady 4.55ghz.
It's specced as a 4.2 with a 4.3 turbo, so is it a naturally fast chip, or did my system clock itself up based on the cooling I gave it? Just wanted to make sure I am not doing something wrong.
