So I guess I bought the 64bit version of the fx5200. what is the difference between that and the 128bit version?

It has half the memory bandwidth, so it's probably almost twice as slow as the 128-bit memory interface version.

Relax many Dell customers are buying XPS ultimate gaming machines with FX5200. Imaging plugging in your new $1800 3.2GHz P4 Gaming Box and seeing the fps your getting now. Yes they might have the 128 bit version, but still kills me they put FX5200 in a system marketed as an ultra high performance gaming machine.

I was in staples last week looking for a new desk, I noticed that they sold video cards. I was thinking to myself 'who in the fck would buy a card from them?' you should have seen their prices(MX-440's are $149.99 there:)

Did it at least come in a nice, shiny box proclaiming STUNNING performance? Or was it the typical-bleh box?

I'd say I'm anticipating the marketing scheme for the PCX4300 more than AMD's Troy or Intel's Nacoma at this point....it's just rediculous how such bad cards with good marketing schemes fool people.

Yeah, I know. But I bought this before I started coming to this site and looking around...it looked like a great card and it did come in a nice and shiny, flashy box thank you. I'm think about devising a plan to sabotage it somehow to where I can get my money back :D. Any good ideas?

Yea....just return it and say it doesnt perform as advertised. It's honest, and is good enough to get your money back(unless your warranty is up)

Yeah, my warranty is up. There is a 3 week "no questions asked" warranty and then probably another warranty for if it gets broke or something...

Hey...not a bad idea...hopefully someone in my small town will buy it...I doubt it though. Would anyone like to buy a practically new FX5200 for $200 so I can get a 9800Pro? :D

How much do you think I can get for it? I bought it for $100 about 2 months ago which I'm sure was overpriced because I got it at staples...I'm thinking around $75 if I'm lucky

$50 is not bad.

And you must find a n00b. I guess it won't be very hard.
