Overclocking fx-8320 on a msi 970 using a vyper evo 212 as a cooling solution.
I have the cpu for quite some years now (3 to be exact) running it on stock speeds. I am looking to upgrade but before i do i want to test its limits or even avoid the upgrade if results are good. The games i play is mostly wow. The temps the cpu is running at the moment is 25idle and 55-63 while under full synthetic load.
My main issue: does my specs limit me in terms of viability (can i do it in the first place)?
how do i do it (i have never overclocked before)?
Will a moderate overclock give me enought performance to compansate the fact my cpu is old? (Not increasing the voltage)
Is there a chance my system will fall ? ( fried or burned)
Specs:
Cpu: fx 8320E
Mobo: msi 970
Cooler: hyper evo
Ram: 8gb ddr3
Power supply: superflower 650w gold
?gpu?: msi radeon r9 380 4gb
Case: sharkoon t28
