Hi, does anyone have any experience with gskill ram? i saw it whilst flicking through 'custom pc' mag, looked it up online and found some with very low timings (4-4-4-12) with voltage at 1.8-1.9 4gb(2x2) for £55 ish. so basically is gskill any good or is there any more favoured brands?

Cheers,

Dave.

I've been using G.Skill in all my builds for quite some time. I have had no issues with it. I also know quite a few people who have G.Skill and have had no issues. Generally if price is a factor, G.Skill wins.

I would not hesitate to use G.Skill.
I used it in my build before last.
A better sale is the only reason I did not repeat.

G. Skill tends to be well priced and quality RAM.

Not the best ram out there, but for what you pay, its pretty good. I myself would use G.Skill ram, and have before in the past. It is in my wifes rig, which used to be mine. When I built my current one, I went Corsair.

ordered some g.skill pi black 4-4-4-12 1.8
was thinking it would be a great overclocker but
i have been reading a lil about the g.skill pi non black and it seems they are horrible overclockers.
But this ram does have different timing/voltage

Should i have gone with some more tried and tested ram?
