G.Skill RipJaws X DDR3 Tips to Overclock at 2400mhz

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read. I'm new to overclocking stuff so I hope you can bear with me.

Mobo: F2A85X-D3H Gigabyte
CPU: A10-5800K (Overclocked to 4.2GHz)
RAM: G.Skill RipJaws X 2x4GB RAM DDR3 1866mhz CL9 (F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL)

So earlier, I tried overclocking my RAM from 1866mhz at 1.5v to 2133mhz at 1.55v. Overclock was stable and brought a nice performance boost.

After confirming stability, I tried ramping it up to 2400mhz at 1.6v. OC failed, Windows didn't boot. Tried increasing it DRAM voltage up to 1.65v, didn't work either.

Am I doing something incorrectly? I hope you can give me some tips. Thank you very much.

I went back to BIOS and I saw that the CPU Vcore Voltage and NB Core Voltage are separate and when I'm trying to increment the value it says, +0.00xx and there is no indicator of the current values (except that both of them are set in AUTO). Haven't tinkered yet in fear of damaging the system. Should I got +1.26 on both of them? or +0.63 as which is half of the value for both?

In the "Advanced Voltage Settings", the only options that are present which looks like this :

CPU Vcore Voltage __________ ______ AUTO (both of them only went up to +0.3v maximum)
NB Core Voltage ____________ ______ AUTO
DRAM Voltage ______________ 1.50v ______ 1.55v
(and two others that which you can only choose like quick, slow, auto, expert from the dropdown)


and on the main menu, it looks like this image -

Tried to manually add +0.03v to the NB Core only (not CPU Vcore) and DRAM Voltage to 1.65v and it did boot for a certain amount of time. I even got to check CPU-ID and it did see the overclock with timings 12-11-13-31 (I set the timings on auto) to 2400mhz. However, programs closed one by one at some point and windows crashed.

I went next with +0.06 and +0.09 but this time, it won't get past the Windows log-in screen. I'm kinda scared at that point, so I went back to the last stable OC.

Thanks for the quick reply and for the help so far, sir. :)

I guess I'll stop at this point and be satisfied with the results. An upgrade will be the only way to fully improve performance. I just wanted to have a lag-free Overwatch gameplay. :(

Btw sir. I could actually stick with 2133mhz and try to decrease CL timings. Do you think those will need an additional to NB Core voltage too? or is DRAM Voltage sufficient?

Tried another test on NB Core Voltage from +0.006 ~ +0.024 for 2400mhz (CL timings set to auto) and DRAM 1.65v - All of them are able to boot up, but didn't pass MemTest (already had errors just at the start of the test).
Seemed like lower voltage made a more stable, but not fully, boot.

Is it safe to assume that it just won't make it to 2400mhz? Running MemTest atm for my stable overclock (2133mhz 10-11-10-32) and no errors even while running other programs.

Will try another batch later when I decrease CL timings.

I was told that 1.65v in DRAM was somewhat the maximum for a 24/7 PC, and I do use my unit for long periods of time everyday.
