So.. i decided to upgrade my PC a tad..

Aorus Master Z490 (BIOS F3 and F5.. no difference)
I7 - 10700K
G Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V 2x16Gb.
PSU: Cougar GX Gold 1050

So.. the RAMM definitely doesn t work as specced. It doesn t even work at 3400. I got it to work at 3200 with 1.35 but the timings are automatically set to 22. If i try to manually set the timings (tried 14 14 ... 34) it works but when i check it with CPU ID it shows a Frequency of 2800 with said timings. IF i go into the BIOS again is still shows 3200.
Be that as it may... i did pay a rather hefty Premium for the 3600 (as opposed to let s say 3200 it s a 150E difference) and seeing as the other components are also supposed to be premium i don t see a reason why it doesn t work. Any ideas ? Before you ask. With XMP enabled and set at the advertised 3600 it doesn t boot.

The Gigabyte Bios is rather complicated. Maybe i should ve listened to the reviews and gotten a MSI or ASUS instead.. -.-

Splendid
This sounds like possible Bios quirks with a new board.

Is that memory on the QVL list for that motherboard?

I just checked the QVL is this the kit?

3600G.SKILL 8GB1Rx8 F4-3600C16D-16GVKSS16-16-16-36 1.35v

or

3600G.SKILL16GB2Rx8F4-3600C16Q-64GTZRDS16-16-16-36 1.35v

I just picked up these same Ram sticks and i am having the same issue. When i tried setting the target speed in the Bios to 3600 the PC quick rebooted 5 times and then rejected the settings. Not sure how to fix it.

Ryzen 7 2700x
Asus Crosshair vii Hero mobo
GSkill Trident Z Neo 4x8gig (36 total gig)
ASUS ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1060 6gig OC
Corsair RMX 850 Gold

Solved: Ramm was in 1/3 slots instead of 2/4. As soon as i changed them in 2/4 it worked at 3.600 with the correct timings.

Hi, I am planning to buy the same model of RAM you have. Did you put them on 2/4 slots from the right or left? I have Aorus Z370 mobo, will it recognize another pair of sticks with the same model when I add them in the future?

Check out the Motherboard manual but the 1 slot is the one nearest to the CPU. Also.. there are dual channel and quad-channel Kits. If you buy a dual channel one, like me ( meaning.. 2 sticks) you sticks with it or.. you sell your kit and buy a new quad channel one (that comes with 4 memory sticks). Pretty sure you t be able to add another dual channel on the existing one and run both at the specced speeds.

You should start your own post. With the processor you have it's rated for 3000 memory so 3600 might not ever get stable then your running 4 sticks on top of that.
