So.. i decided to upgrade my PC a tad..
Aorus Master Z490 (BIOS F3 and F5.. no difference)
I7 - 10700K
G Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V 2x16Gb.
PSU: Cougar GX Gold 1050
So.. the RAMM definitely doesn t work as specced. It doesn t even work at 3400. I got it to work at 3200 with 1.35 but the timings are automatically set to 22. If i try to manually set the timings (tried 14 14 ... 34) it works but when i check it with CPU ID it shows a Frequency of 2800 with said timings. IF i go into the BIOS again is still shows 3200.
Be that as it may... i did pay a rather hefty Premium for the 3600 (as opposed to let s say 3200 it s a 150E difference) and seeing as the other components are also supposed to be premium i don t see a reason why it doesn t work. Any ideas ? Before you ask. With XMP enabled and set at the advertised 3600 it doesn t boot.
The Gigabyte Bios is rather complicated. Maybe i should ve listened to the reviews and gotten a MSI or ASUS instead.. -.-
