GALAX GTX 970 Not Getting Detect

Hi People,

I have purchased GTX 970 from my friend so ( there is nothing like graphic card is dead as he using it)

So... I inserted the card in PCIe slot and connected 2x 6pin power connector. then turned my PC on then when im trying to.install nvidia drivers its shows error that "no hardware detected" then i go into the BIOS and open the Board Detail and there i found PCIe slot is empty. i also tried other PCIe slot but same. what should i do.

My Config:-
MOBO:- MSI Z97 GAMING 7
CPU:- INTEL I5 4690K
PSU:- VS650

Try to plug in the GPU in other slot, if available.
Try to plug in other GPU, if available
Try to plug in that GPU in other PC
Check also if the GPU fans spin
Check if the 6pins power plug really does have power in it, using multimeter.
and..see what you get..

the graphic card fan ia spinning.
and i already told that i tried other PCI slot.
and my friend using the gpu before.

Try to plug in other GPU, if available
Try to plug in that GPU in other PC
Check also if the GPU fans spin <-- done, result:fan spins but GPU still does not work
Check if the 6pins power plug really does have power in it, using multimeter.

Actually My Graphic Card was dead :-(
