game audio through headset with netflix through tv

How would I do this. Lets say I'm playing Dayz on my monitor and want to use headphones for gaming while the gf watches netflix on my tv via hdmi from my computer. Gotta be a way to do it right? Any software I can use or just options through windows?

There is only one option, your software must support output selection. Media players like MPC-HC allow you to pick the output line even if the Windows default is something else, but you'll need to check with the netflix app/web browser documentation to see if it has another output selection method (assuming the game doesn't)

Good point, never thought about selecting audio source in game. I was still hoping there was some software to assign audio output for different programs. It's 2015, how is this not a thing?! Sometimes I like to peak away from gaming and watch a funny part on tv. Especially in running simulator... err I mean dayz.
