[citation][nom]Nightsilver[/nom]BREAKING NEWS: TWO DAY OLD GAME HAS BUGS. MORE AT 11.[/citation]
isn't this what the closed and open betas were supposed to do?... find these bugs?... and 10 years of development, c'mon

I was able to play through all of normal mode over the course of May 15th and May 16th. Sure, I was disconnected for a while on the 15th, but my friends and I stayed on for hours on end the very next day; I think they had one 20-minute downtime late in the evening. That's pretty freakin' good for a Blizzard release. Personally I'm having a blast with the game. I get why they decided to handle everything online and I remember what I'm missing out on, but in all honesty it has done very little to negatively affect my experience. The game is so fun that I'm more than happy to look past that, and it will only get less noticeable as their service is improved over the next couple of weeks. I didn't like the idea of Battle.net turning "social" at first, but admittedly it's a lot easier to stay in touch with and play with my friends with it.

During beta they caught and fixed 90% of bugs. What you see now is the 10% remainder magnified by a hugely bigger horde of people playing the game. It is impossible to release a piece of software without any bugs with it, unless perhaps it is microsoft's calculator. Be patient, I'm sure most of the bugs will be cleared out during this week.

Wow, will all the cry babies just stop bashing this game like it a a plague or something. Yeah there are a few bugs, some lag problems but not all the time and it seems to go away after a few min anyways. This is a fantastic game with a great story. I just started Act 2 and you learn so much from Act 1, i can't wait to see what happens next. After you get through what the beta consisted of, the world opens up and it def feels more like D2. The beta is just a training for noobs. Anyways, Blizzard is going to take care of this fast. At least its not an EA game where all their games are rushed and have the worst stories. I also want to say, if you can't connect, just try an hour later. You will be able to play and that Blizzard is working hard to patch the game.

Amen to that brother.

Well, I will bash the game like it's the plague, not because of bugs, but because it's basically Diablo for Dummies. 0 customization means once you clear the game with one character, you don't have any reason whatsoever to play that character again, as you automatically get every single skill in the game, and can't increase attributes as you please. Writing is a serious step down from what it was in the first 2 games. You can easily tell that the key people that worked on the previous games have long left Blizzard. And they are charging 60 bucks for it. I will be happy playing Torchlight II for a third of the price, and having 10 times the replayability, thank you very much.

To each his own. IMO, D3 is better than D2.

Wololo000, Go play boring Torchlight 2. T1 was good until 2 hours into it where it became boring. You have 10 quests at a time, u have no idea whats going on because there is so many quests open at the same time. T2 is just the same with MP added to it. ooooooooooooo MP in torchlight 2, must be better, ooooooooooooooo. Hater will always hate the big boys.

12 years of creation and there are still ... bugs ? There was beta testing ? You have to login for ... SINGLE PLAYER ? You can't play whenever you want ... ?!!! I don't have time for this BS.
There is plenty of other better games for 0$ ...

[citation][nom]absorber[/nom]Everyone's acting like 5 year olds yelling at blizzard for bugs and login problems. As Nightsilver rightly points out, it's been two days. I mean come on people, what would you expect? And a temporary bug preventing login isn't game-breaking, that's nonsense. I've played almost all of normal difficulty and it's a good game. Reviewers with more experience know this and have generally given it good press, deservedly so.[/citation]

Kid, wake up... its not like they only had 1 year to work on the game. They had 12 freaking years and then they decided to pull a "FCK CONSUMER MOVE" on us by putting DRM in there along with RMAH and no freakin modding ability! I hope Blizzard crash and burn for this. hell They aren't even the same people who made Blizzard the great "company" that it used to be.

[citation][nom]wasteoftime[/nom]This game is nothing but disappointment. Even when you can log on the graphics are terrible, they've (practically) eliminated character customization, and the lag is awful. [/citation]

Could you exaggerate more? To say the graphics are terrible is a huge over statement. The 2nd and 3rd act have been great to look at and the way the terrain reacts to movement has been a lot of joy to watch. How much character customization do you expect exactly? If you played the original diablos you should have known what to expect... it sounds to me like you totally ignored everything that has been published about the game up until launch date and inserted your own idea of what it was going to be like, otherwise your expectations would have been set and you wouldn't be disappointed. It has been well worth the 60 I paid for it.

They didn't do anything to the consumer. They didn't make anyone purchase the game and they have explained in depth their thought processes on requiring an internet connection. You can say what you want about them not being the same company they use to be, but they have had 2 hugely successful product launches in 2 years and they will continue to have more, because even though you love to complain, you know you love to play their games as well. Your just another cry baby gamer who didn't get what he wanted right when he wanted it so you throw a tantrum.

Good.. Go play those.

[citation][nom]hallowed_dragon[/nom]To each his own. IMO, D3 is better than D2.[/citation]

I think for a lot of people, its going to be hard to top the experience they remember from D2. D3 is a great game, but its hard to overcome expectations and its hard for Blizzard to recreate and improve on experiences people had 12 years ago, maybe when they were young teenagers or younger.

People experience things differently at different ages... this game would have been FAR more interesting if I were only 16, but I am 28 now and its harder to impress me.

That being said, it was 60 dollars well spent, IMHO.

[citation][nom]I decided it would be best to wait it out and not buy at launch to not have to deal with issues like this and hopefully pick the game up on sale. I waited 12 years, adding a little more time to that isn't going to change anything.[/citation]

You are hoping to pick the game up on sale? Good luck playing anytime soon the. most of the fun for me has been playing with my friends and they will be done with the game LONG before it goes on sale. I would expect it to be any cheaper for at least a year. While I think there is a decent amount of replay in the game, there is not a years worth.

[citation][nom]atmos929[/nom]isn't this what the closed and open betas were supposed to do?... find these bugs?... and 10 years of development, c'mon[/citation]

Only naive, unrealistic people expect perfection from closed betas, or anything constructive at all from open beta players.

Crybaby? Negative more like I am using my CONSUMER POWER which most of you just dont. You just flock to a highly marketed product. Their games has been doing but dumbed down mediocre garbage eversince they did WoW. WoW Was the last product I last bought their TRASH. Go take your stupidity else where mmm kay?

"having 10 times the replayability, thank you very much."

replayability is having to start a new character to slightly modify your build? Its an outdated, bad design mechanic.

If you actually play to 60 you will realize that being able to adjust your build at anytime will let you focus on what matters, playing the game. You will still play that same character, without having to re-level it. This is a good thing. You can focus on logging in, going to kill any monsters you want, and look for the loot drops. Not play the min-max game of, "what if I did this instead". That approach is worse in many ways. For starters with 6 skills (d2 and others make you focus on a similar or smaller number of actives) you have to choose an overall "optimum build" That works as well as it will for most places. Therefore you are pigeon holed into a permanent "optimum" build, otherwise at 60 playing inferno is going to be impossible for most builds except for the cookie cutters.

Instead of being forced to restart or quit out the dread of having to re-level you can just play what you've already invested time in and have fun. Click click click, tweak tweak and you are on your way.

[citation][nom]Lord Captivus[/nom]It keeps amazing me how all game companies can "test" games with a lot of users that cant find a "easy to trigger" bug. Why does this keep happening?[/citation]

I guess you are not a programmer?
It is easy to happen actually. The more complex a structure becomes the more arcane points of failure can be hidden in it. Testing will get you only so far. At some point you have to call it quits, release the product and let the customer do a full scale testing.

Nothing wrong with it if it is a video game; a bit more difficult if you build aircraft (see the F-22 troubles for example).

I tried it out in beta and none of this happened. I expected a successful launch. the game played flawlessly, through every class. (I finished the demon hunter in under two hours, but that was normal difficulty, act 1 only.) While this traffic jam is technically game breaking, it's not a game bug. It's a traffic jam. Too many freaking people. The problem with this world is not that there are any particular little problems, but rather one huge one: too many people. We need to get people to stop breeding so much.

I like D3. It's a fun game. And it is a different style then whats been out. Nice break from the FPS thats flooded the market as of late. Blizzard is a good company. Just be patient. They are working on fixing these bugs as fast as they can I am sure. It sucked last nght that it took me almost an hour to log in the game. But with a huge ammount of people playing, it's going to happen. I just wish you could play the single player campaign without having to log into battle.net all the time!!!

killed Skeleton King. didn't have any problems so far... i guess i wish graphics were a bit crisper. have 27 in monitor, have all the video settings on high... but still

[citation][nom]DroKing[/nom] Their games has been doing but dumbed down mediocre garbage eversince they did WoW. [/citation]

Mmmm what? Me no speaky your language.

Haha. If even one of your sentences did not include a misspelled word or just poor grammar in general, I might take your comment more seriously. People are "flocking" to the game, because blizzard has a track record of releasing entertaining products. If it were a new company, producing their first game, they wouldn't have any where near as much attention as they do.
