Hi i was looking at making/creating a flgame and wondered what processor, or what to look for in a processor to do so. I have a maximum price of around 160 (i5 4430, maximum proberly) but would a fx8350 be better for this type of job??
That depends, what part of creation are you going to be doing the most of? If we're talking rendering, then the 8350 is a great choice. It would also be good for encoding and compiling. Really, in productivity tasks, the 8350 can really shine against many of the i5's out there. I would think you might be better off that route, especially if you multitask quite a bit.

cheers, ive had serious interest in full game creation, but going to college to learn about encoding, programming ect. With my self build just about getting started i want to have one where i will have a nice motherboard and processor, to save me cash in the medium to long term. Thanks again, doing alot of reading right now as ive never dealt with this type of stuff, mostly just a gamer but taking a shot of doing my own little project rather excited. What GPU would u think would keep me at an oky level if u can help. Thanks again
As a game developer myself, I find that while the workstation cards are fantastic for quality, you can get by with a good higher medium gaming GPU just fine.
My personal PC is the following:
AMD FX 8350 - CPU (overclocked to 4.4 GHz)
Asus M5A97 R2.0 - MB (the M5A99X EVO has nice features if you can find it cheap)
G.Skill DDR3-2400 (2x4 GB) - RAM (running @ 2303 MHz in BIOS)
WD Caviar Blue 1 TB 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache - HDD
Samsung DVD RW - Optical drive
CM Hyper 212 EVO - CPU cooler
Sapphire HD 7870XT - GPU
CM Silent Pro M2 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Semi-Modular - PSU
Gigabyte G2GZ Plus - Case
22" 1080p monitor
Windows 7 64 bit OEM

I built it for about $1000 all said and done.
that's a very nice system lol, my original build was going to be around a 3rd of that but its now increased to about half of that, the GPU is a cracker quiet expensive though if oli remember off the top of my head gonna look in to that spec and see what it would cost me in GBP. Intrested to say the least
