Game files missing

From the time I have upgraded my system to windows 7 from xp most games are not running even if they are compatible with windows 7. Whenever I open, it says name of a file which is missing, eg. 'rockadll file missing'. Even if I download that specific file, it give name of another file which is missing and it goes on. I think some most imp files for running even basic games got deleted from computer while formatting. Do u know any method to regain them, or if its some another problem, pls help me.

You need to install Directx and Visual C++ or common VCredist, the little screens after or before installing games popup.

And probably Graphics card driver.

Thx for advise Robert ban but I have already tried those two, and I also have graphic card drivers installed. The thing is direct didn't do any fruitful to me and Credit is not installing on my system, even when I picked correct one for 64 bit, it gives setup failed each time.

You did a clean Windows 7 setup? Did you actually re-install those games or did you just copy the directories to the new setup? Ran all drivers for the motherboard and did Windows updates?
