Game freezes while map loading

I did a fresh install and patching of BF1942 on my kids' machine and now
it freezes every time they try to load a map. No matter what map. This
is a fresh refomat HD as well...........any ideas?? It is the anthology
pack if it means anything. Here's hoping somebody knows.

If you did a fresh install of XP and you're playing online, there's probably
a hidden firewall dialogue box. Hit ALT-TAB and see if this is the case.
You have to give the okay to access the internet.

Thanks...........found it though. It was a firewall. Zonealarm. It was
stopping the access, but not telling us. Eventually the window did pop
up and all is fine now. First time that ZA has given me any trouble.
