I installed an ASROCK B450M Steel Legend last night and have been having issues since.

I had been playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey devoid of any problems just before installing it, but now, it'll freeze up for about 30 seconds at a time every few minutes (sometimes seconds), with me still being able to hear the sound and move the camera around. The setting are the same as before, and I even lowered them to test out if it would still happen--it did.

My previous motherboard was a ASUS Prime B350 PLUS, which I only upgraded because I bought a new case and wanted to be able to use the USB3 slots from it since it had a broke pin and I couldn't use it.

I tried downloading an older version of the BIOS since it says the newer ones aren't compatible (unless I read it wrong) with my CPU. That didn't work and the problem is still there. I'm all out of ideas; I updated my GPU, checked if anything else needed updating, and nothing.

AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws (F4-2666C15S-8GVR)
EVGA RTX 2070 XC Gaming
EVGA 650 BQ PSU
Windows 10 Pro

Did you reinstall windows fresh?

I did just now. Same issues happening.

I've changed motherboards before and this, or anything similar, never happened.

Is there any incompatibility between my parts? It's like everything works fine except games.

You used AMD drivers or ASRock. You want the AMD ones

For the motherboard, I used the drivers on their (ASRock) website.

Do I update my CPU, too?

I'm not sure I understand what that's supposed to mean exactly.

Edit: I updated my chipset with the AMD B450 driver from AMD's website and still nothing.
