Question Game installed on new M.2 stutters INSANELY bad ?

Saw it was Gen4 ready, so I assumed it'd work for my mobo. It did.

I got it today, put games on it, and the first game I played was Black Ops 4. Was fine for a couple of games..... until it went REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD..

I have never seen a game freeze for 2 seconds, display another frame within miliseconds, then freeze for another 2 seconds.

Is this the M.2 or something else? Black Ops 4 is all on servers, but I have 1000mbps for both download and upload.

Can someone explain?

Have you tried other games? Can't really mark the SSD as bad if it only happens in one game.
