Games are crashing to desktop.

So i just did a fresh install of windows 10, installed essential drivers, softwares and everything, a weird problem i'm experiencing is my games freezing and crashing to desktop usually with the "this program has stopped working" error. Games i've tried WWE 2k16 and Tomb Raider 2013

My specs are;
Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.6 GHz,
8 GB of Ram
PowerColor R9 270x 2GB

Are the games standalone, or on Origin or steam or something else?

Tried to re-install the games??

on a side note, how is a r7 370 comparable for a replacement for a r9 270x
