So I've been having constant crashing issues, even before my upgrade I had a RX580 which also had crashing on various games.

with my RTX 2060, the games that crash or; Fortnite, Black Ops 2, Hitman 2, Shadow of the tomb raider, Escape from Tarkov (these are the games off the top of my head.)
Games that dont crash; Valorant, Warzone (again these are the games of the top of my head.)

If tried every "fix" in the book;
Clean install of windows,
Install up to date GPU drivers,
Using DDU to remove old drivers,
Using regedit
Removing OC ( I havnt OC anything other than the DOCP profile for my RAM, which I also removed and that did not fix anything.)

This is my first time posting anything, I'm actually flabbergasted with this issue, I've literally been on every website and youtube video that says "FIX".

Also, I dont know if this has anything to do with crashes or anything but I constantly see these error messages in the event viewer;
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}
and APPID
{15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}

I've done everything it says online to try and stop these errors yet they dont go away, It seems like I don't have full control over my PC, I dont know how to describe it but It feels like my pc is setup in a way that its meant to be apart of one big hub, similar to a school computer where you cant do certain things. Just seems weird that I dont have access to things on my own computer.

Thank you for the help and let me know if you need anything else.

It crashed again, I checked the event viewer again and theres a new error message:

Application FortniteClient has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.

Hi Calquat,

Can you run the hardware and devices troubleshooter

Click start->settings->update and Security->troubleshoot->select hardware and devices.

Follow onscreen instruction If any issues have been found.

Sorry can't remember if you managed to update Windows 10 to 21H2 build?

If not can you update please and test.

The reason I've left this turned off is so windows doesnt install GPU drivers automatically when installing new ones.
This is fine to ignore if you disabled it yourself.

Can you run the following from CMD elevated

SFC /Scannow

Then

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

test again.

researching the error you got there doesnt seem to be one thing known that causes this issue.

if that doesn't locate the fortnite .exe
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64

right click> properties>compatibility>compatibility mode and select Windows 7 -> check run this progam as admin -> click apply

test

Unfortunately I've already done all them steps, all of the Scan dont find anything, and ive tried every compatibility for fortnite and had it run as admin, but its a no go.

Calquat

try the following

Click Start->System->Display->Scroll to graphic settings->Desktop app->Add->Add fortnite .exe->options->high performance.

restart and test

I have tried researching issue doesn't seem to be a solution for it. Try going back to an older version of driver.

Test.

Have you tried the TdrDelay fix in registry?

I have tried the TdrDelaly fix, but what confuses me is that its not just Fortnite that crashes otherwise I would think it was something on the games end.

I tried playing Fortnite again with only one monitor, (main 144hz with DP cable) and it crashed again, in the event viewer the same error message has before;

Application FortniteClient has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.

I've searched this online and been on every website and video and done all the "fixes" yet it doesnt seem to fix it.

I'm almost convinced that this error is causing the game crashing, as we've tested everything seems fine, latest drivers, hardware seems fine.

the error showed up at 23:59:07.
The game crashed at 23:59:07.

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

I've also been experiencing the same error message for various games;

Application (GAME) Has Been Blocked By Graphics Hardware.

I've searched this online and done literally every step on every website, yet no bueno.
