[SOLVED] Games crash with Access violation - code c0000005 / INVALID_POINTER_WRITE/READ

MB: Gigabyte B450 AORUS Elite V2
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
RAM: Gskill F4-3200C14D-16GFX
GPU Gigabyte GTX1060 6Gb
PSU: Bequiet System power 9 600W
Main Storage: Samsung Evo 860

MB is brand new, similar crashes happened on an older MSi MB. Fallout 76 also crashed with different pair of RAM sticks by Hynix with the similar errors.
Current MB and RAM are officially compatible, RAM is running in XMP mode, supported by the MB.
RAM has been checked for errors with Memtest86, none were found.

PC never bsods, not all games crash, crashes are random, may occur as often as 20 mins into a session, or 2 hours or not occur at all.
I was told these issues are most often caused by RAM, but this RAM and Mobo officially compatible and good quality, so I am not sure what to do really, maybe it's a frequency issue? Could really use some insight.

i can find other boards running 3200 at 3219, its on Asus boards but it is using GSKill ram. So it might be normal
3200 isn't guaranteed, XMP is an overclock so it might be ram doesn't like that speed.
your windows error reporting, which is what I was mostly out of in that misinfo file is way shorter than I was expecting. Did you clean install windows recently?

The only program that is showing in there as a problem is gameinputsvc.exe
nothing I was expecting to see, I thought it might show some errors like BEX or Preradar, but no

Thanks for looking into this issue, I think I can say the issue has been solved this time.

For those looking for solution for similar problem, i.e Access Violation random crashes, here is what I found:

  1. Reinstalling OS likely won't solve the issue, never did in all the threads I've come across while looking for a solution, mind you a great many other things like updating drivers also seemingly never solved anything for anyone, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try anyhow.
  2. If you have anything at all overclocked, be it manual or autoscan overclock for GPU, default all and see if the issue solves itself, then begin adding overclocks one at a time if you want. In my case the issue, I strongly believe, was an unstable autoscan GPU overclock and for some people it was a RAM overclock and also a CPU one.
  3. Make sure your RAM runs at compatible speeds w/ your mb and is generally compatible, check compatibily lists,, though if there is a serious hardware issue you'd be experiencing BSODs most likely. You may need to downclock your RAM.
  4. Run a Memtest86, https://www.memtest86.com/tech_creating-window.html, just to be sure.
  5. Whenever you make some change to your PC settings, RAM timings etc, keep a text record of what you changed and when, so if you begin experiercing problems you have something to look at, in case you forgot you made that adjustment.
