When i run some games on highest graphics settings the games either sometimes crash the game, reset my pc, or blue screen my pc. But when i lower them or change them i very rarely if ever crash on the games. How do i know if my PC cannot handle the settings i am on other than checking the fps? My fps is fine on the games on the settings i use. Some examples - On World of Warcraft keeping the render scale no higher than 100% or lowering other settings fixes the crashes. On Fortnite turning off post processing and effects fixes the crashes. On Destiny 2 keeping the render scale no higher than 100% fixes the crashes. I built this PC myself a few months ago and i have always had this problem. I don't think it is a temp issue, i always have a temp monitor on and my CPU never goes over 65 degrees (which apparently for my CPU is fine) and the same for my GPU. I myself have not overclocked but i don't know if my hardware was overclocked by default. I can live with playing on lower graphics to prevent crashing but still this shouldn't be happening with my specs i think. Any ideas what this could be?

Specs:
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz
Asus Z170 PRO GAMING Socket 1151 ATX Motherboard
16384MB RAM
750 PSU
1TB HDD

So it has been a while. I got a new ssd and hdd. I am still getting crashes on some games but i really cannot tell if it is a game related issue, a pc issue, or both. With WoW, i did play it for weeks without crashes but then started getting crashes every few minutes but i think that is a game issue i can figure out. But i played Destiny 2 today to prepare for the new dlc and it crashed after ~5 minutes. I tried again then got a blue screen after ~5minutes. I am going to try monitor temps while playing it to see if it is overheating my pc but i don't think that will be the case since from what i read my gpu is ok if it is under 90 degrees and my cpu is fine under 80 degrees. From what i have seen, my cpu temps never max out passed 75 degrees and my gpu doesn't max out passed 65. I have gotten high temps in other games and not crashed. Not sure what the temps hover at right now.

But what i am really confused with is drivers. Motherboard drivers specifically. For GPU drivers i use GeForce experience to tell me when there is a new driver and then it installs it for me. But for motherboard drivers, i am not sure if i am doing it correctly. Here is what i do - i download all of the drivers from my motherboards page (https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/), then i only click the setup.exe in the main folder for each of the downloads as shown here for an example: https://gyazo.com/55c432e60fbbf41cbb243efecea6bc55 So my question is: Am i doing it correctly or do i also need to click all the setups in the subfolders aswell?
