Games lagging all the sudden?

Hello i have been encountering a problem which bothers me a lot. It all started when in installed a e3 2013 graphics mod for mgsV:TPP. I was getting a good framerate but when i got about 30 minutes into the game, my fps started to go all the way from 40-50 to 20-30's. I restarted my pc and loaded up bf3 and my fps was in the low 20's as well. Im not sure why it's doing this. I never had this problem until yesterday.
HD 7850 2gb.
Fx 6300 3.5 ghz
Seagate 500gb
500w psu
Kingston 8gb 1866mhz dual channel Ram

Well, my GPU is getting to the mid 90;s. I know, call me an idiot for ignoring my high temps for all this time. But, the my GPU has been a champ with dealing with heat. My cpu on the other hand is staying cool.

Maybe it's time to clean that dust and re-apply new thermal paste.

I opened up my case and it is pretty dusty and beyond time to dust it out. Yesterday, i played a on and a half hour gaming session of BF3 an noticed no fps drops besides when there was a whole lot going on. But today when i launched MGS 5, i played for 30 minutes and my fps and my CPU usage dropped.
