Question Games running better on HDD with OS??

I have 2 HDDs and i have this strange problem where most of my games of which require to load a ton of things (say open-world games) often don't load the textures correctly or either the sound bugs/mutes/loops and the game freezes for sometime (and my CPU usage drops to 0%-5%)


But that ONLY happens on my games-only HDD, when i switch it to my OS hard drive THE GAMES RUN SMOOTHLY with no problems?

OS hard drive: WD Blue 320Gb SATAII 3.0Gb/s
Games hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 1000Gb SATAIII 6.0Gb/s

Is it because the 2 HDDs have different SATA types? Is there a way i can use both still?

Check health of your drives. Use HDtune health.
Your game drive may have developed some pending/relocated sectors.

I'll do it and come back later with results, btw i already checked both on CrystalDisk and they seemed to be fine, but i'll use HDtune anyway

Possibly bad sata data cable or overheating of sata controller.

What's your games hard disk sleep timeout under power manager?

What's your games hard disk sleep timeout under power manager?

I have it set to "Never", but i don't know if i can set that sepparately for each drive
