[citation][nom]ChiefTexas_82[/nom]Yea, I got impulse from Stardock. I have bought one game on it, though. I got a $5 Baldur's Gate 2/ Throne of Baul pack I've enjoyed.[/citation]

Unfortunately, I bought quite a few more than that (none since GS took over.) Sometimes, back in the day, there were better deals there than on Steam, and since I already had it installed for my Stardock software, what the heck? I've been following these rumors and wondering what the plan will be - if GS crap-cans Impulse, they better do something about the library of games I have through there.

[citation][nom]guardianangel42[/nom]What the hell is the point? If you are a gamer interested in buy a game on Steam, you use the steam client (available on all your linked devices) or the Steam webpage (available on everything with an internet connection). Why would you go out to a GameStop to buy a voucher to redeem at your computer to download a game? That makes no sense.[/citation]

Because you're a 14 year old without a credit card, or somebody who doesn't realize a bank account offers a free debit card, or because you're paranoid? There are some people who just plain do not have or use a credit or debit card. Stupid idea? Yes. But it happens.
