Gaming and Daily use Laptop

Right so I am looking for a gaming and daily use laptop. The only games that I will be playing are simple games like Civilization 5 and 6. My budget is roughly around $1000. I haven't done much research but would indeed like something highly dependable. Battery and speed wise. I also have been looking for some that are completely black, and maybe with led keyboard, but have not found many. If anyone could suggest some like so I would really appreciate it!

I'd want one with at least a 6-cell Lithium Ion battery. 8-cell would be better but they are all over $1000. The battery option is in the menu to the left.

MSI laptops are generally pretty good when it comes to performance, but lacking in terms of battery life. Various reviews of various laptops typically pegs battery life at around 3 to 3.5 hours based on average daily usage (no games).

Their bloatware is also generally a problem.
3-3.5 hours is going to be a given with an i5 6300HQ and a 1050 with a 6 cell battery, but all the other options are somewhat overpriced.
For me, 3.5 hours lasts about two Uni lectures, and powerpoints are usually plentiful.

You could pick up a used Lenovo W520.
Those have nVidia Quadro 1000M or 2000M GPUs with 2GB of VRAM, and also have the Intel HD Graphics 4000 as dual graphics, so when you aren't running any games, it uses the Intel HD which really saves on battery. My W520 lasts 6 and a half hours while doing internet browsing and watching youtube, and almost 3 hours when running GTA V. The battery in mine is rarther worn out though, windows tells me to consider replacing it, but it's fine for me.
Being an older style thinkpad it is very dependable and well built, it could be thrown across the room and suffer essentially no damage, other than a few scratches on it and a hole in my wall (oops).
On eBay they go for about £250-£350. (About $300-$450)
