Anyone with any comments or recommendations on my gaming pc build? I’m pretty new to building and wanna get it right. Look to stay around the 900-1100$ price range. Thanks

sorry if this is a lot to ask but could you put together a build for me based around the Ryzen 3700? Only thing I’m really keen on is the GTX 1660 super but if you think there’s something better for around the same price or something a little cheaper that performs very similar I’m open to that. Thanks

Personally I would go with a Ryzen 3700 build due to the better price to performance ratio, but as far as Intel goes that looks good.

I would suggest a better PSU, 400 watts is low for that system and that particular PSU is junk. Sadly right now due to supply shortages from China the popular PSUs are either outrageously priced or out of stock.

Here are some PSU's I would suggest, all in the 550-650 watt range

Budget PSU: Corsair CX or CXm if you want a budget PSU

Recommended PSU's:
Corsair TXm or RMx
EVGA G2
Seasonic FOCUS FM, GX, GM or PX models

This looks awesome! Do you think the 550 W will be enough? If it’s not too much more I’d be fine with getting a 600 if it’s better. Also, how does the 3700x compare to the i7 I was looking at before and do you have any recommendations for good monitors that are less than 200$? Thanks for all the help!!

The 3700X is a really good CPU, the i7 might have a slight edge on single core performance but for most users it will be unoticable.

For the PSU 550 should be fine for that system, if you plan on going with a beefier CPU or GPU down the line then 650 is a safer bet these days. I cant stress this enough, brand is meaningless in most circumstances in regards to PSU quality. Its more about specific models.

As far as monitors, theres too many to list, but I will suggest you stay at 1080P with the 1660 Super. I would look for reviews online and youtube and see what people are saying.

Sweet! I was looking at some i5’s before but was worried that I was going to have to replace it sooner or sacrifice the stuff I want but if the 3700x is that close to the i7 10700 for less money then I’m definitely down for that!

At some point I may look to upgrade so I think I’ll get a 650 just to be safe then. What specific models would you recommend for that?

Alright I’ll look around and see what I can come up with. Thanks for all the help!
