Its a solid build, however I would recommend getting the radeon RX580 8gb, cheaper, similar performance and more Vram :)

That ryzen is better for multitasking and streaming as well as being a capable gaming CPU, however if you want pure gaming performance I would go for the 6600K :)
 
i5s are bad business nowadays imo.
You can get an i7 that will perform better than an overclocked i5
Made a few adjustments, similar but slightly cheaper case (got it's big brother, it's great), a quality-PSU that's a bit cheaper, and of course a quiet operation CPU fan (that is purely optional)

Why not Ryzen?
 
hmm, i could get a Ryzen, but here the Ryzen 5 1600 is actually as much as the 6600k. Looking at a couple of reviews and all, it looks like the 6600k gets the edge in gaming and isn't that bad in streaming and multitasking.
 


The i7 7700k isn't unlocked, is it? and I'd have to get a good motherboard like the Z270 which are a little more expensive, also looking at the fact that the 6600k is like 50 euro cheaper than the 7700. I don't mind the I5's and could also get an 7600k with a Z270 mobo, because the 7600k is as much as the 6600k and the mobo may be like 10/20 euro more expensive.
 
the i7 isn't unlocked. not that it makes lot of a difference.
and no, the board I suggested is absolutely sufficient.

I'm not the biggest fan of i5s tbh.
4cores/4threads has been fine for a long time but over the last year even dx11 games start to like the i7
or alternatively a Ryzen CPU
an i5 just limits you a bit imo. especially if you're not benchmarking as most people tend to have other stuff running on their system as well when gaming
 

I could get the R5 1600 (non X) but is it overclockable, not alot but a little overclock, I don't know why I want to overclock as it only gives a little boost but i'm curious if it's overclockable.
So i could go with the same setup only get R5 1600 with mobo and maybe other 16gb RAM.
 
well Lucky_SLS's build is pretty neat, I like it a lot.
for pure gaming an i7 takes the lead atm, this could change in the future due to the extra core count of the ryzen

if you're looking to overclock and want to get the most for your money, I suggest you go the Ryzen route
 


Yes ok, thank you very much, I think i'll go for Ryzen 1600 with the GTX1060 because that is cheaper and is a good build.
This may sound dumb because it maybe got answered, but just to make sure:
1. The Ryzen 1600 is overclockable?
2. Will this build run games like Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Forza Horizon 3 at Almost max to Max settings at 1080p? (50+ fps most of time)

Doesn't the R5 1600 come with a cooler? If so, is it good enough for overclocking the processor to like 3.6ghz?
