So I was thinking of building a new computer. I'm new to this so I don't know much about hardware and such. Do you guys think that this build should be decent? I've only got up to choosing the motherboard, CPU, RAM and hard drive and I just wanted to check if this is right so far.

Asus Z87 Plus Motherboard
Intel Core i5 4670k 3.4GHz
Kingston HyperX Beast 16 GB Kit (4x4 GB) 2400MHz DDR3 KHX24C11T3K4/16X
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" SSD
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1024MB GDDR5 128bit, Dual Dual-Link DVI, Mini HDMI, Graphics Card (01G-P4-3650-KR) Graphics Cards 01G-P4-3650-KR

Any suggestions on improvements would be greatly appreciated :)

PS. If this is on the wrong thread can the moderators please move it to the correct one? Thanks

Decrease RAM to 8gb and get a card like gtx660 or above if have liitle more in pocket . . your location and how much you can spend in total . . . cause you planned to have unlocked processor so 650ti is like a joke with your other specs

I'm probably not going to overclock. And also the recommended RAM frequency for the i5 is 1600mHz, do you think 2400 will be OK? And thanks for the help 😀

Oh OK, thanks. I'm from Australia and my budget would probably be around 600-1200

PS. Do you think the GeForce GTX 660 Ti would be pretty good for gaming?

Yeah I probably should decrease RAM to 8GB and get the GTX660 Ti. Thanks for the help :)
