Gaming keyboard wanted

Hi everyone! I am just finishing my gaming PC build, and I want to buy a really good gaming Keyboard. I currently have the Logitech G510s selected, but the only thing that worries me is that it isn't Mechanical. I know it is a popular gaming board, but is it a big deal to have a mechanical keyboard? I plan on running everything from MMOs, to simulators, to FPS games (i.e. Battlefield 4). Is the G510s a good board?

logitech makes some reasonably good products however for the msrp of that keyboard you could get a low end mechanical keyboard or for a bit more you could go for a higher end option.

do you require backlighting or is only optional?
do you need macro keys?

i personally prefer my mechanical keyboards. they are more precise and in general much nicer to use than rubber dome keyboards. they are louder than dome keyboards however and tend to be more expensive.

its a personal preference really. however, once you go mechanical most people never want to go back.. your choice.
