Hey guts just wanted to ask the best in the world......... I have a sager NP8150 and its on it way home from getting upgraded.

before up grades
CPU- i7 2630qm
GPU- ati 6970m

I was getting temps around 60-70 on CPU and 70-80 on GPU under load. Gaming on like BFBC2. But I am just wondering what kind of temps i may see when the upgraded lappy gets home. =) I am going to be playing BF3 all freaking day long!!! LOL jk but I am jst curious what you guys say.

I talked to the guys at sager and they said during the stress test they couldnt get it over 90c??? Is that good?? I mean I dont want my machine running at that temp, when a week ago it wasnt close to that. But I hear some people saying it bad and some saying its normal?

thanks

If they said they couldn't get it over 90c and were seriously trying to then yes that is good since that is generally the danger point. I'd recommend getting a laptop cooler either way though for gaming laptops.

I would also ask what exact temps it got... If it got like 89c then... welll.... that is a bit too hot for me anyways...

Hey bro thanks for the response! Yea I just got her back in the mail today and have been gaming on it in BFBC2. I turn the fans off and the hottest it got (CPU-70) and (GPU-78c). The after a while seeing how high they would go with no change I ran the same game with the fans on 100% (you are supposed to do this for a gaming laptop) And the temps were great! ( CPU- low 60c) and the (GPU- 68-74). I am very happy with these temps.

Not to mention the awesome increase in FPS while gaming with these upgrades. I am so ready for BF3!!! =)

Just remember to hit that thing with a can of compressed air once in awhile those laptops are dust magnets if your using it alot. And a little bit of dust is all it takes to block up airflow and shoot temps sky high. I've ripped apart some laptops and pulled out balls of dust blocking off the fan. So it would run but absolutely no air was being moved in the laptop as the port to the laptop was fully blocked.
