Gaming monitor help

I'm building a pc and don't know which type of monitor to go for a tn or ips what type would be the best for my needs I will be playing rpg and horror games no fps does someone have some suggestions It can be either a 27" or 24" and 1920x1080 or 2560x1440 thanks for your help
