I am looking to build a new gaming pc with a Intel i5 4690k processor and a nvidia gtx 960 video card. I am looking to play games like battlefield and skyrim. Could I have some advice and maybe some ideas on how these games would run on this system.
That CPU is good.. you'd be better off going with a GTX 970 for a bit more money. At that point, yes, you'd be able to play all of those titles without a problem assuming you'd have at lest 8GB of RAM thrown in your rig.

With only $700 to spend.. that the 4960k & GTX 960 are only going to leave you with about $250 to spend..
You'll need sufficient RAM, PSU, MOBO, etc. to support the CPU & GPU.
I'm not sure if $250 leaves enough to do that properly.
Edit: didn't realize you're not talking American dollars. Even so, it only leaves you with about $300.
Thanks everybody for your help I think I am going to stick with what I am currently getting as I am not prepared to pay the extra £100/$150 for the gtx 970
