If you wanted to save money, dropping down to the GTX 970 will save you $200, while only losing about 10% performance. Otherwise, I recommend that you go big and stick with the GTX 980.

that processor is just fine in fact its one of the better cpus for gaming match that with either a 980 or a 970 and your set. or can go the extra mile and go for the gtx 780ti i have the 780ti and the i7 4790k as well and i can do what ever i want without stressing my computer a bit. tho with this cpu i suggest an after market heat sync just casue they get hot easy
