What RAM is the best for a gaming pc 2400 or 2666 the pc specs are a b350 plus motherboard, ryzen 5 1600 and a gtx 1060 3gb?

Ram speeds aren’t going to make much of a difference looking at the two speeds mentioned. Choose 2666 if you can, 2400 is still ok.

Everything that I've read says that Ryzen CPUs can really benefit from faster RAM. Most people have said that 3000mhz RAM is a good choice. But honestly with RAM prices as high as they are, nobody will fault you if you can't afford the fast RAM.

Yeah RYZEN is SUPER ram speed hungry, get the fastest your motherboard supports and turn on XMP in the BIOS to run the ram at its designated speed.

The gain between 2400 and 2666 is 2-3% in gaming. Hardly noticeable. You can spend the difference on a gpu with better cooling or cpu cooler and get more fps.

Remember tho ryzen is a great CPU for more than just gaming, go for 2666 especially if you want to do streaming or youtube or something later on.

Apologies, I read b350 as b250, so I assumed it was intel. Yeah, the others are definitely correct.

I wouldnt go any lower than 3000 on the ram, but watch out with ryzen they are horrible with ram

Ryzen loves fast ram, but too fast and it won't boot
