Gaming pc for csgo?

Solution

ill try to put it simply, a 60hz monitor is basicly a 60fps limit(although you can go higher but will experience screen tearing and wont notice any difference while playing(minus the screen tearing)). a 144hz monitor is like a 144 fps limit(with vsync if your pc runs it higher than 144fps consistantly). the difference between 144 and 60fps is barly noticeable and useless in a sense. either way it will run as smooth as butter.

edit: yea that setup(your partspicker link) will run anygame at 1080p maxxed out just fine.

I'm going to need to buy one as well any recommendations

The CSGO guys always want freakishly high FPS. Even with all the screen tearing and their PC screaming like a 747 on takeoff, they don't care. I think they run some type of glitch cheat with the ultra high FPS if I am correct.

as the guy above you said your wasting money if your trying to get 200 or more fps. and since you said you wanted a monitor you should look for one with 144hz if you really want high fps or get a cheap affordable 60hz. heres my recommendation for a cheap quality monitor http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VS248H-P-24-Inch-Full-HD-LED-lit/dp/B0058UUR6E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1420744646&sr=8-3&keywords=1080+monitor

So I want to get a computer that can at least go 120+ on high settings getting a 60hz monitor would depreciate me off that? If I can get 120+ can someone please configure me a gaming pc that can achieve that?

So basically my set up wouldn't be worth the money unless I got a 144hz monitor?

I have to disagree, my 144 Hz monitor makes a huge difference next to my 60 Hz monitor. It has much smoother motion and is quicker to respond. In games like CS:GO and League of Legends, this is a noticeable difference.

However in other games and movies and web browsing and such, the difference is negligible.

So what kind of gpu would I need to keep up with the 144hz monitor to at least give good frames and max out games like cs
