Gaming What should i do?

ok here are specs....

Asus p3v4x
p3 733mhz
639mb of pc133 sdram
dual hard drives one 20gig western digital 7200rpm's
and a 10gig 5400rpm westrn digital
geforce 2 gts leadtek 32mb card

ok these last few days i have been getting into the hype of the new upcoming games(who wouldn't be who hasnt seen them new Doom and Unreal 2 screen shots :drools

but ok i know this is a dumb quest and i was wondering though what would be the best upgrade as in motherboard/video card? And how long should i wait to upgrade. Lol cause i will need time to save the dough being 16 is hard to gain the cash to pay for this.

Also i know as of right now that the geforce 4 ti4800 is the fastest card but what would be a good motherboard to go with it? P.S i was looking in the directiong of the new MSI board with the Sis645 chipset? really what i am asking how long should i wait to upgrade? Now or six months from now????

I think it's a bug in either Windows 98 or ME. I have seen this problem a couple of times. It's quite rare, but for some odd reason the OS shows 1 MB of RAM less than what's actually there. Sometimes, it can be a chipset thing (the integrated chipset video sometimes won't let go of that 1 MB even though a different card is installed). I really don't know what could cause it though. (Other than the aforementioned chipset issue).

Ya it is actually 640 but it reads 1 less. Anyways how do u guys feel aboutit right now though? Shoul;d i waste the extra money to got up to a 1.5-2.0ghz or just take the geforce 2 gts i have and get a geforce 3 ti500... i know the gefroce 3 won't add thaqt much to framerates because of proccssor. But i am kind of suck. Add any helpful tips

Well I'm on a system very similar to yours and I'm also using a Geforce 2 32mb card. My only difference is that I only have 512mb ram. I've been playing a lot of up to date games and I haven't seen any reason to upgrade yet. My frame rates have been fine and now with XP I also have had no problems with stability.

I don't know what the requirements are for doom and unreal2 but my suggestion would be to wait. Also prices are on the up again so that might be another reason to wait. You know as well as I do that in a month or two the Geforce4 cards will be given away at your local gas station with every fill-up. That's just the nature of this tech biz.
