Is gaming on a tv recommended? And if so what tvs do you guys siggest?

Not recommended. High input lag.

Depends on the TV and the type of game you play. Playing a FPS you are definitely at a disadvantage on a TV, however other game types it can be a much more immersive experience. I have a low input lag TV (deliberately bought for this) and for fun racing sims with my basic racing setup (Playseat Challenge) it’s far better than a monitor.
