GeForce GTX 550ti vs GTX 760 SC?

Thought so, I have the card itself, I know some youtuber who has the 550ti, and can record 1080p 60fps or higher with no problem. I have a 760 SC and it cant even go to 40fps when I hit the record button. Yes I have an HDD and an SSD for both process, 16GB ram and a 3.5ghz CPU. I understand shadowplay is a very good option, I use it, but it doesn't work for all games, and sadly I try recording one of the games it doesn't support. I don't know what setting I have on this card that is making it not work to its limit, not even close. No one could ever figure this problem out and I don't know what to do anymore :/.

Recording has more to do with your CPU, doesn't it? Aside from the obvious of being able to produce 60FPS in-game, to even attempt recording at that FPS, I don't think the GPU itself comes into play as far as recording @ 60FPS so much as the CPU does.

Are you able to play this game at 60FPS? Are you sure he is recording at 60 FPS? I would often record at 30FPS and re-render video files to 60+ fps using Sony Vegas. Actually recording at 60FPS sounds like it would make just about anything unplayable during recording, with either of those two cards to be honest.

Game can run up to 500+ FPS , recording at higher FPS makes the video look nicer for slow motion scenes. My CPU shouldn't be the problem, my previous GPU was an AMD Radeon 7850 and it could record up to 80 fps. I bought this card thinking it could probably do 120, though that is irrelevant, I didn't know it would go down to 40 which is under my refresh rate :/. My CPU is an i7 3770k 3.5ghz intel.

Any ideas or things I should do? Do you think AMD display drivers could affect this since this was my previous card? If so I think I deleted them, but I don't know if everything, I know this card can do ALOT better, theres just something I probably have in my computer interfering with it.

Shadowplay works like a charm, no FPS problems at all whatsoever. Big problem about it is it doesnt support or ''record'' some certain games sadly, which are the ones I'm interested in recording it. Fraps goes down to 40, Action goes down to 40, DxTory goes down to 40. I don't know what is the problem honestly, My writing speed for my SSD is 100mb/sec which is insanely fast, so it can't be any memory problems or something.

The GPU stays the same, it can go way higher, even if I overclock it REALLY high just for a test, same exact thing, I'm assuming that theres some setting or something to it where the factory settings locked it to where it can't be ''fully used'' if you understand what I'm trying to say. Eh, I tried reinstalling drivers, it didn't really help but I'm trying a lot of other things like other games.

He answered your question? So how did that link fix your issue? I am only curious because many of us stated the obvious earlier in this thread also. (Capt. Obvious says, "the 760 is better than the 550Ti")

Laughable. You could of inflated your sister's Best Answer score a while ago rather than waste our time.

It honestly hasn't fully answered my question with the whole FPS problem, I'm still new to this website, sorry if I didn't give you rep points or whatever this site offers, I'm still looking into this problem though.

I don't care about the "points" & I've never asked for them in any thread. Just so you know for next time, when you select a best answer, you are less likely to get further help in that thread. Even if the information is irrelevant as in the selected Best Answer here. I doubt that guy even read your thread. He read the title and posted a link to his website for click-thru traffic. When people trying to honestly help you see that, you can't expect they would really want to help you anymore.

Looking at my profile, I have only 126 Best Answer scores in my 6 years here. It isn't about that, at all. Most of this is about research and often people helping another user here are learning on the fly, also.

I thank you for all the help, but sadly there isn't a way for me fixing this, but I know theres something wrong here. Having the graphics on lowest, records at 40fps, now I said to myself, ok, then what happens if I made anything higher? So I boosted the graphics almost to max, SAME exact FPS. WHY IS IT NOT GOING HIGHER there is a setting I'm missing here I know it.
