I have an opportunity to buy two of these for $200, possibly a little less...would they work well with my Asus 970 pro gaming MB? My current GC does the job, but Iv heard using the 2 GC with the SLI band would be better...i don't play very high demand games but might be getting into them if my computer can handle it...for now I play CSGO, DOTA 2 and LoL

It's certainly a good deal, if you think the cards are in good shape. If you're goig to put two cards in a system that previously had one, you may need a better PSU. What do you have? Not just wattage, but model and brand please.

I have on order a thermaltake smart pro rgb 750w which I feel should be more than enough for both GCs

That's a solid PSU and will do your cards fine, and your motherboard supports SLI, so I say get the bridge and have some fun!
I still think that the twin 960's will do better, but what is your current card?
