Geforce4...not that impresive...

I can't shake this feeling that they pushed out the TI500s when yields were not producing chips that could clock higher, and now the new GeForce4 is going to essentially be an "overclocked" TI500 with more and faster memory. Don't get me wrong, I think it will improve performance up to 15% - 20% better under normal circumstances and 25% better with lots of textures, but really I don't see it as a huge improvement. It will be an incremental step as in a TI200 to a TI500. Again, it's only going to be usefull to us as a way to push down the "old" TI500's in pricing in my opinion. The "new" TI500's will be able to sport $350 street prices easily with the *gasp* double amount of memory! Oh well, I'm a synic. I'm also hoping I'm dead wrong, and I would be HAPPY to eat my words.

Powercolor is the worst company making PC products.

You like a warranty right?

"warranty void if broken" on the box and on the card.

You gotta take up warranty with vendor only if the vendor chooses to warranty that Item.

OEM and clocked lower? I just read an article on AnandTech where they stated taht OEM version had a slightly overclocked memory-clock:

Playing the clock speed game at Anandtech.com

Okay, the article is dated october, 1st last year, but it is quite clear, no?

Anyway ... Enjoy your day!

If you buy one in Canada...trust me you'll get your full year waranty, sinse my compagnie covers the waranty.
The problem in the USA is simple,we use to cover the waranty but our US division was sold to Synnex and they do not cover it.

But here in Canada there is absolotly no waranty problem whit Powercolor.

Sorry for my spelling I'm french...hey I ain't perfect!

Here in Canada, ATI themselves have the best warranty imaginable. If you burn out your card from overclocking, for example, all you have to do is trade it in.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor

Same whit Powercolor,Asus,MSI,EVGA,Gigabyte and Matrox.
Supercom handles the waranty for most of these cards sold in Canada...and yes even ATI whitch is 2 blocks away form Supercom headquaders in Toronto !!!

Supercom is the biggest video cards and motherboards distributor in Canada.

Hehe, ATI's main world headquarters is only 10min away from where I live by car.
