Hello,

I currently have a i5-2410M CPU. According to my manual it supports DDR3-1333MHz memory.

I am looking to upgrade my current ram with this:

(Corsair Vengeance Performance 8GB (2 x 4GB))

When installing the new RAM, the CPU will downclock the new memory to 1333Mhz right?
I'm wondering if I would run into less problems if I just downgrade in memory and got something that was 1333MHz. I know the MHz doesn't make a huge difference, but quality of the memory itself may make a difference.

Thank you.

I'd go with 1333, running 1600 at 1333 should be OK, but alot will depend on how much time they put into the BIOS programming and many laptop makers spend very, very little time on DRAM compatibility (they want you to buy upgrades through them)
