Hi everyone
I am working on getting 3 monitors to work. Currently I'm only able to get 2 up and running. The good news is that I know all 3 are working when windows 7 is booting up the left most and right most monitors show the starting up messages. When windows starts running the display shifts to the center and right most monitor (settings I have setup my self). I have a ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics card. One of the very prominently advertised features of this card is that YES is can run all 3 displays at once. On the back of the card there are 3 outlets:
1) DVI
2) HDMI
3) Display port
I have the hdmi and the dvi running direct to 2 monitors and the display port has an adapter to dvi so it can plug into the back of the 3ed monitor (doesn't have a display port inlet on the back).
When I go to windows and try to extend my display to the 3ed monitor i get the following message:
Unable to save display setting.
Also when I try to do the same operation via the catalyst control center I get the message:
To extend the desktop, a desktop or display must be disabled.
Not really the responses I'm looking for.
Totally open to all suggestions on how to get this up and running but of course I would like to stay away from more pricey solutions (IE second graphics cards, expensive adapters) but if all the stop gaps fail and that's the road I have to travel so be it.
Many thanks in advance for all the help!
Namaste
