Evga boards are top quality and AS Rock has really become a contender here lately. Either board will be great. Just chose the one with the features you need. ( I like EVGA too).
the whole point of upgrading is to have sata 3 and usb 3.0 and the reason i was even considering asrock was the fact that it had more sata 3 and more usb 3.0 ports. But yeah thats what i was mainly wondering if asrock was any good or if they were rubbish i always buy Evga

yeah i usually buy based of costumer support and evga always has good answers to my questions and there insanely easy to over clock ... they both have what i need and the EVGA is about 40 bucks cheaper ...

ASRock were previously cheap boards. Now they are solidly in the 'budget enthusiast' category as they have gotten much better since those days. I use one in my Sandy Bridge build, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend an ASRock board to anyone, even my family and friends.
