Hello guys,,

i got a problem with my graphic card, first of all i got I5-8400, Zotac 1080 TI mini, 8gb ram, SSD and HDD. i bought a new case (in win 303) and I've changed it alone in home, after changing it and building the pc again when i start any game my graphic card gets to 80C although all other components stays at 40-45. Some time when i play for 1 hour the game close automatically because of overheating. i would like to know if there is any way to check if I've build the pc correctly or not, and would that damage my GPU or any component ? because I've got all new parts 2 weeks ago.

Is there any program or site to check if my build and wiring is alright ??

thank you

Considering the small dual fan cooling design on the card, I would say that reaching 80c is unsurprising, but it's still nowhere the 1080 Ti's max temps (90c and above should worry you nonetheless). Can you confirm that the game does close automatically because of the card itself?

I suggest using MSI Afterburner to set a custom fan curve, and see if it helps with the temps.

I've tried increasing fans % but it stays at 78
, although before i change the case it was acting normally between 55-68

You won't be harming the 1080 Ti with such temps. The card will throttle its clocks to maintain the temperature target, which is likely 80c, and won't go over that as it was programmed. If it makes you feel any better, the founders edition 1080 Ti will reach temps as high as 85c.

What case do you have? Generally, it is wiser to get a blower style card if your case is very low profile, as aftermarket coolers dump exhaust air back out into the case, whereas blower style coolers are better for low profile spaces, where they will take in air from one side, and force it out on the grills at the other end.
